Our Scripture reading for this Sunday is 2 Timothy 3:10-17.

In 1 Peter 3:15-16, the Apostle Peter writes:
"Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, keeping a clear conscience, so that those who speak maliciously against your good behaviour in Christ may be ashamed of their slander."
Over the next number of weeks we are going to be looking at some of the big questions that people may ask Christians (or that we may have of Christianity). While a 20-25 minute sermon will not provide an exhaustive answer to any of these questions, my hope is that it will be a start that may pique your interest.
As of right now, these are the questions I plan to address:
1. Can we trust the Bible?
2. What is the meaning of life (What am I here for)?
3. Why do we suffer? (The problem of evil)
4. Who is Jesus, and is he really the only way?
5. How many will be saved?
6. Is hell real and necessary?
7. What happens when we die? (What is heaven like?)
8. Can faith and science work together?
I am not confined to these questions, however. If you have a particular question that you would like addressed, leave a comment or send me an email, and I will do my best to work that into the series.

On Sunday we will address the first question, "Can we trust the Bible?"
It's a question that maybe we aren't even asked anymore, rather it is assumed by non-Christians that we cannot trust the Bible as the church has trusted it for centuries. In our modern times, Scripture is looked upon with suspicion and so it's important that we are able to defend the Bible as our source of truth and help people (and ourselves) to see that it is truly God's Word.
To prepare for Sunday I invite you to read:
2 Timothy 3:10-17, 2 Peter 1:12-21, Psalm 1, Psalm 19, Psalm 119 (which reads as a 'love letter' about God's Word).
